"From the moment our tour guide Maya greeted us knew we were in good hands. Her commentary along the cobblestone streets gave us insight into daily Greek life now and in the past. Our first stop at th e coffeehouse located in an ancient Ottoman Pumphouse. Maya explained the way the coffee was brewed and how to drink it. Then we were off to the family own shop to sample Bougatsa. Maya explained that the family had been in this location since 1922. With her knowledge of intimate details made the experience come alive. Maya then took us to a quaint shop to enjoy cheeses, olives, and Dakos and a little wine. She explained how Dakos was a common staple in Greek cuisine. Walking the cobblestone streets past markets with all types of food was a treat for all the senses. We finished our tour at a Greek Tapas restaurant. I highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky to get Maya as your guide you will enjoy it as much as we did."
